Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts (“Empire City”) announced that the premier northeast entertainment destination will resume normal operating hours beginning Wednesday, April 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., providing guests additional time to visit and enjoy their favorite slots and electronic table games.

Empire City’s health and safety protocols remain in place to ensure guests have a safe entertainment destination. Over 2,800 of the hottest games are available for play, outfitted with plexiglass dividers or socially distanced. In addition to fan favorites, Empire City has introduced new games over the last few months such as Wheel of Fortune Wild Sapphires 3D Reels, Jinse Dao Tiger & Ox, Lock It Lin Piggy Bankin, Fortune Coin and others for visitors to enjoy.

“The lifting of the curfew brings us one step closer to a sense of normalcy as we resume regular operating hours for our loyal guests. While capacity restrictions and all health protocols will remain in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone on property, we are excited to continue welcoming back more of our team members and providing guests with additional hours to safely enjoy entertainment,” said Ed Domingo, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for MGM Resorts’ Northeast Group.

Capacity restrictions remain in effect at no more than 25 percent occupancy and masks are mandatory on premises at all times. Other safety measures, which are part of MGM Resorts’ companywide Seven-Point Safety Plan, include temperature checks of all guests and employees, social distancing throughout the casino floor, hand-washing and sanitation stations throughout the property, and more.

While Empire City Casino will operate daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., on-site restaurants The Pub and Empire City Chophouse will continue to operate with limited hours 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights in accordance with restrictions. The Big Kitchen Food Court will be open 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Per state guidelines, no food or beverage is allowed on the casino floor. Lil’ Cocina and bars on property remain closed.

Live harness racing takes place at the historic Yonkers Raceway Monday through Friday with a nightly post time of 7:15 p.m. State regulations continue to require races to be run without fans in attendance, with only essential personnel and owners permitted on the track and required to adhere to strict health and safety protocols. Races are simulcast and available for viewing and wagering online at www.EmpireCityBets.com. Racing fans can create a free account and view live racing at Yonkers Raceway and tracks across the country.
