Gunmen Shoot Driver, Rob His Passengers

QUEENS - Cops are looking for a pair of robbers who shot up a Mercedes, wounding the driver, and then stuck up his passengers, removing thousands of dollars in cash and valuables.



Police released surveillance photos of the hoodie wearing suspects and the grey crossover SUV the men escaped in. 


At around 5 am on September 25, a 40-year-old man parked his 2021 Mercedes Benz AMG on the corner of 41 Street and 25 Avenue. As the man’s passengers exited the car, two men walked up to the Mercedes. 



Cops said one of the men pulled out a gun and opened fire on the car. The man tried to drive away under the hail of bullets. However, one of the rounds hit him in the left arm. 



Cops said after the Mercedes drove away the gunman turned his sights on the two women passengers, ages 24 and 21. With a gun pointed at them, the women handed over their purses, iPhones and about $1,600 in cash. 


Cops said the robbers then hopped into the crossover SUV and drove off. 


EMS rushed the wounded driver to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Queens where he was listed in stable condition. 



The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket, black pants and black sneakers. The second suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, medium build and a black beard. He was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers.
