QUEENS - A police officer suffered a concussion when he was struck in the head with a glass bottle from an elevated subway platform. Cops released a photo of the suspect, they say, purposely threw the bottle at the officer.
At around 1:50 am on April 8, a man was standing on the elevated subway platform of the Number 7 train at 103-28 Roosevelt Avenue. Cops said the suspect threw a glass bottle at an on-duty NYPD police officer. The bottle struck the officer causing a laceration.
EMS rushed the officer to Elmhurst Hospital.
Officials said the officer suffered a concussion but is in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who is described as a male who is between the ages of 28 and 35. He has a medium complexion, medium build and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and a blue and red knit hat.
