Man Slashed Across Face in Front of Diner in Random Attack

ASTORIA, QUEENS — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with a violent early-morning assault that took place in Astoria, Queens.
According to police, the incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in front of 30-04 Steinway Street, within the confines of the NYPD 114 Precinct. Investigators say a 22-year-old man was sitting outside the location when he was approached by an unidentified individual.
Without warning, the suspect allegedly produced a sharp object and slashed the victim on the left side of his face, causing a laceration. The attacker then fled the scene on foot, heading in an unknown direction.
Emergency responders transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Elmhurst, where he was treated and listed in stable condition, police said.
