NYPD Seeks Help Identifying 3 Suspects in Queens Robbery That Left 14-Year-Old Stabbed

QUEENS, NY - The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying three individuals wanted in connection with a violent robbery in Queens, according to authorities assigned to the 109th Precinct.


Police say the incident happened Friday morning, January 16, 2026, just after 10:00 a.m., in front of 135-16 Roosevelt Avenue, a busy stretch of the borough that sees significant foot traffic during daytime hours.


According to investigators, a 14-year-old boy was approached and surrounded by three unidentified males. What began as a verbal confrontation quickly escalated.


Police report that two of the suspects displayed a knife and demanded the teen’s cell phone. During the encounter, one suspect made verbal threats and stabbed the victim in the right shoulder before the group fled the scene.


The suspects ran westbound on Roosevelt Avenue toward College Point, taking the victim’s phone with them. The stolen property is estimated to be worth approximately $400.


Emergency Medical Services responded quickly and transported the injured teen to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was listed in stable condition. Authorities say the investigation remains active.


The NYPD has released descriptions of the three individuals and is urging anyone who recognizes them to come forward.


  • Suspect #1: Male, last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweater, black face mask, and black sneakers


  • Suspect #2: Male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a white jacket, black sweater, light-colored pants, and black sneakers


  • Suspect #3: Male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a yellow jacket and black sweater


Police believe the individuals depicted in the released images may have critical information related to the robbery.
