NYPD Seeks Help Identifying Suspect in Queens Stabbing Near Edgerton Boulevard

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a Queens stabbing near Edgerton Boulevard that left a 64-year-old man hospitalized

QUEENS, NY  — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a knife assault in Queens that left a 64-year-old man hospitalized.


According to police, the incident occurred on Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 6:58 p.m., near the intersection of Edgerton Boulevard and Wexford Terrace, within the confines of the NYPD 107th Precinct.





Investigators say the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual when the confrontation escalated. During the argument, the suspect allegedly displayed a knife and stabbed the victim in the right side of his chest.


Emergency medical services responded quickly and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.





After the stabbing, the suspect fled the scene on foot, traveling eastbound on Dalny Road toward Midland Parkway, according to authorities. Police are continuing to canvass the area and review surveillance footage.





The NYPD has released images of the individual and is urging anyone who recognizes him to come forward.


Police describe the suspect as:

  • Male


  • Light complexion


  • Last seen wearing:


  • Black jacket


  • Black pants


  • Black ski mask


  • Black sneakers


At this time, the individual remains unidentified.
