According to police, the incident happened on Saturday night, January 3, 2026, at approximately 10:40 p.m., near the intersection of Martense Avenue and 101 Street, within the confines of the NYPD 110 Precinct.

Police say an 18-year-old man and a 24-year-old man had just exited a 2025 Hyundai Elantra sedan when they were approached from behind by two unidentified males.

After the attack, both suspects fled the scene in the victims’ Hyundai Elantra, traveling northbound on Martense Avenue, police said.

Emergency medical services responded quickly and transported both victims to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, where they were treated for their injuries and listed in stable condition.

The stolen vehicle was later recovered within the 110 Precinct, though the suspects remain at large.
