NYPD Seeks Suspect in Rockaway Beach Shooting Incident With No Reported Injuries

QUEENS, NY - Cops are looking for a scooter riding shooter in Rockaway Beach who sprayed the street with bullets. It is unknown at this time who was the intended target or what was the motive for the shooting.


According to police, the incident occurred on the morning of Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., near the rear of 219 Beach 59 Street. Investigators say an unidentified man discharged a firearm multiple times in what is now being investigated as a reckless endangerment shooting in Rockaway Beach.


Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the situation has raised concerns among residents about safety in the area during early morning hours, especially following this morning shooting incident in Queens neighborhood.


Authorities report that after firing multiple shots, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading westbound along Rockaway Freeway. Police have not yet released information about a possible motive, and the investigation remains ongoing into the Rockaway Beach firearm discharge investigation.


This incident adds to growing concerns about isolated gunfire incidents in Queens neighborhoods, even in cases where no one is physically harmed, such as this Queens shooting incident with no reported injuries.


Police describe the individual as a male with a medium complexion. At the time of the incident, he was last seen wearing a red and black jacket and blue jeans
