NYPD Seeks Public Help Identifying Two Suspects in Rockaway Beach Shooting Inside Residence

QUEENS, NY - The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two male individuals wanted for questioning in connection with a Rockaway Beach shooting inside a residence in Queens.


According to police, the incident occurred on March 31, 2026, at approximately 7:35 p.m., within the confines of the 100 Precinct. Authorities report that a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg while inside his home near Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 99th Street in Queens.





Police say the victim was inside his residence with two unidentified individuals at the time of the incident. During the encounter, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, though the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.


Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded quickly to the scene and transported the injured man to One Brooklyn Health – Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.





Following the shooting, both individuals fled the location on foot and remain at large. Their direction of travel is currently unknown, prompting an ongoing search by investigators.


The NYPD has released descriptions of the two individuals in hopes that members of the public may recognize them.


Police are urging anyone with information related to the Queens shooting near Rockaway Beach Boulevard or the identity of the suspects to come forward.


This case adds to ongoing concerns about gun violence incidents inside residential properties in New York City, particularly in Queens neighborhoods.
