QUEENS, NY - A man on a moped dressed like a food delivery worker (complete with food delivery back pack) only delivers fear in Queens and cops say he has robbed multiple people at knife point throughout the borough.
According to authorities, the crimes took place within the 115th, 108th, and 110th Precincts, with at least 18 reported incidents involving a similar method of operation. The suspect, described as an unidentified individual traveling on a two-wheeled vehicle, has repeatedly approached victims before forcibly stealing property—often while displaying a weapon. Investigators are focusing on what they describe as a two-wheeled vehicle robbery suspect targeting Queens pedestrians.
The investigation began after a March 22, 2026 incident involving a late night armed robbery in Queens involving jewelry and cash theft. A 35-year-old woman was approached and robbed at knifepoint, with the suspect fleeing the scene with valuables. No injuries were reported.
Days later, on March 28, multiple incidents were reported in rapid succession. In one case, a 34-year-old woman suffered a hand injury during a violent knife-point robbery in Queens resulting in victim injury, requiring hospital treatment. Other victims that night included individuals targeted in attempted robbery and forceful bag snatching incidents in Queens neighborhoods.
By March 30, the pattern expanded into another area. Two victims were robbed within minutes of each other, reinforcing concerns about a mobile suspect using quick escape tactics.
The pattern continued into April, with April 4 marking another spike in activity. Authorities reported incidents consistent with a daytime street robbery pattern in Queens involving knife threats and stolen jewelry. Victims included both men and women, suggesting opportunistic targeting.
In one notable case, the suspect displayed a firearm, marking a shift from earlier incidents.
Other victims that day reported losses including cash, cellphones, and personal belongings in what authorities describe as early morning armed robberies targeting pedestrians in Queens residential areas.
The most recent incidents occurred on April 14, with multiple victims targeted during morning hours.
In one incident, two women were robbed simultaneously, underscoring the suspect’s boldness.
Investigators say the suspect’s approach has remained consistent, forming a clear Queens serial robbery pattern involving two-wheeled vehicle and armed threats. The suspect typically:
- Approaches victims while riding
- Targets individuals walking alone
- Displays a weapon (usually a knife)
- Steals valuables quickly
- Flees immediately
The NYPD is urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to identify the individual.
Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, particularly during early morning and late evening hours, and to report any suspicious activity. Public assistance may be critical in stopping what authorities describe as a continuing robbery pattern affecting Queens neighborhoods and public safety.
