QUEENS, NY - Cops say a young woman brought the crazy to the crazy train in Queens when she decided to stab a fellow rider for no reason. 


According to police, the incident happened on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at approximately 3:25 p.m. inside the 102 Street subway station, located within the confines of the NYPD’s 102 Precinct and Transit District 20.


Investigators say a 32-year-old man was riding aboard a southbound “J” train when an unidentified woman suddenly stabbed him twice in the right leg using an unknown sharp object. 


Authorities have not yet released information regarding what may have led up to the attack.


After the stabbing, the female suspect fled the subway station on foot and remains at large, police said.


Emergency Medical Services responded quickly to the scene and transported the victim to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. The victim was listed in stable condition.


The NYPD released media of the individual wanted for questioning as detectives continue their investigation into the Queens subway assault. Officials are urging anyone who may recognize the suspect or who witnessed the incident aboard the J train to come forward.


Violent incidents inside New York City subway stations continue to raise concerns among commuters, especially during busy afternoon travel hours. Transit riders in Queens and throughout New York City have increasingly called for enhanced subway safety measures and increased police visibility across the MTA system.


Police have not announced any arrests at this time.
