Deranged Attackers Slash People in Bronx, Queens for Beer and Water

Police released surveillance video of a brutal attack taken inside a Queens hotel in which a worker was slashed repeatedly after handing the man a bottle of water.

At around 6:15 am on January 10, a 33-year-old worker at the La Quinta Inn on Queens Boulevard confronted a man who was loitering in the hotel’s lobby. The loiterer asked for a bottle of water. When the clerk came out from behind the desk to hand him the water, the man pounced.
The lobby video shows the man pulling out a large knife and using it to stab and slash the clerk. The worker tries to flee but is cornered and falls to the floor. The attacker stands over him repeatedly trying to slash him. Finally the clerk breaks free and runs into the office and slams the door closed. The attacker is then seen calmly walking out of the hotel.

The NYPD says the attacker slashed the clerk’s hands and left ear. The victim was treated at New York Health + Hospitals/ Elmhurst.
In another senseless attack, a Bronx man had his nose slashed for not giving a man a beer. Cops say a man wearing a pink fur coat slashed and stabbed a Bronx man on Christmas morning.
At around 4 am on Christmas, a 25-year-old man was walking in Crotona carrying a shopping bag containing beer he recently bought. At the corner of East Tremont Avenue and Marmion Avenue, a man approached him and asked for some beer. When the shopper refused, the other man pulled out a knife and slashed the victim’s nose and stabbed him in the abdomen.
The victim was rushed to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video of a man wanted in connection with the stabbing. The video was taken from a nearby bodega. The man in the video wanted for questioning is seen wearing a pink fur coat, with a blue hoodie, chains and a Yankee cap.
