QUEENS - Cops are looking for four men dressed in black who stuck up two grocery stores and a gas station in one night.
Cops said in each case three of the men dressed in black hoodies and black pants robbed the store while a fourth member stays outside and acts as a lookout.
The robbery streak kicked off at 9:30 pm on September 1 in Hillcrest. Three members of the crew walked into Double Deli approached a 60-year-old employee.
Cops said one of the robbers stuck an object into the clerk’s back claiming to have a gun and demanded that he open the cash register. The worker complied and the two other crew members ran behind the counter and removed cash from the register. Cops said the group ran off with $1,000. No one was injured.
The same crew struck a short time later at Express Deli on Parsons Boulevard. Three of the robbers entered the store as one acted as a lookout. One of the crew approached a 27-year-old store employee and simulated that he had a gun. The other crew members went behind the counter and removed $800 cash.
In the last robbery for the night the crew struck a gas station in Kew Garden Hills. Cops said the three crooks walked into the Gulf gas station at 141-50 Union Turnpike. One of the crooks approached a 40-year-old employee and simulated that he had a gun. The other two crooks went behind the counter and rummaged through the register removing $3,000 in cash.
