QUEENS - A gunman sporting a “South Park” sweatshirt opened fire on a customer inside a Queens restaurant over the weekend, the NYPD said.
At around 3:30 am on December 29, a man wearing a “South Park” sweatshirt walked into Wild Onion Restaurant and Lounge, at 119-10 Merrick Blvd. Cops said the suspect saw a 39-year-old man inside the restaurant and pulled out a handgun.
The gunman fired off multiple rounds and struck the victim in the shoulder and torso several times.
The gunman then ran out of the restaurant and was last seen fleeing south on Merrick Boulevard.
The victim was taken by private meant to Jamaica Medical Center where he was treated for the multiple gunshot wounds. He was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video taken from the street.
The suspect is 6 feet tall with a medium complexion, thin build and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt with a “South Park” graphic and tan pants.
