QUEENS - A panhandler stabbed a Queens man in the back of the neck when the victim refused to hand him over money, cops said. 


The NYPD released surveillance video footage of the suspect outside a Queens Village pawn shop. 


At around 5 pm on January 11, a 22-year-old was inside a pawn shop on Jamaica Avenue when he was approached by a man asking for money. The victim refused and left the store.

BRONX - A crossing guard is recovering after being attacked by an unknown male as he tried to cross people at a busy intersection near Pelham Parkway, cops said. 


Cops said the suspect followed the man and stabbed him in the left hand and the back of the neck with a knife. 


The suspect then ran off. 


Cops said the victim suffered sever lacerations in the attack. He was rushed by EMS to North Shore University Hospital where he is listed stable condition. 


The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and medium build. He is 5 foot 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black coat, blue hooded sweatshirt with red/white "Polo" writing on the front, dark colored pants, and black shoes.
