QUEENS - A Corona woman was robbed at knife point in broad daylight on New Year’s Day, the NYPD said.

At around 2:50 pm on January 1, a 21-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of 42 Avenue and 97 Place in Corona. Cops said a man wearing a “Buffalo University” hoodie ran up to her and pulled out a knife. He placed the knife to the victim’s chest and removed cash from the woman.

The robber then ran off northbound on National Street from 43 Avenue.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where she was listed in stable condition. It is unclear if she was injured in the attack.

The NYPD released a photo of the suspect. He is described as a 35-year-old man with a medium complexion and a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray “Buffalo University” hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white and gray sneakers and a blue beanie hat.
