QUEENS - A pair of thieves bashed a Queens man in the face with a baseball bat to get his cellphone, cops said.
At around 7 pm on April 13, a 22-year-old man was walking home in the vicinity of 189 Street and Aberdeen Road. Cops said the man was suddenly struck in the face with a baseball bat. He was then bashed in the head with the bat.
As the victim fell to the floor, the attackers grabbed his cellphone and ran to a waiting Pontiac Grand Am. Cops said the car was last seen heading northbound on 109 Street toward Union Turnpike.
EMS rushed the victim to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital where he was treated and listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects seen walking on the street.
The first suspect is described as a male with a light complexion who is in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a red-hooded sweater, gray pants, and brown boots.
The second suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and beard. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants, a black hat, and black sneakers.
