QUEENS - Cops are looking for a dimwitted burglar who robbed a TV from St. John’s University. The suspect not only was caught taking the TV off the wall in front of a running camera that recorded him, but also hit himself in the face with the TV, video shows.

At around, 12:30 am on April 13, the suspect entered St. John’s University through an unlocked door, cops said. In a student lounge area the suspect is recorded on a camera mounted right next to a mounted large-screen TV.

The suspect is seen on video yanking the TV off the wall. As the TV came loose, it hit the robber in the face and he rolled backward almost falling over. Then the suspect is seen trying to run off with the TV without removing the plugs and wiring.

The robber unhooked everything and walked the TV out of the college and into a nearby vehicle.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and slim build.  He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater, a gray hat, dark-colored jeans, and white/black sneakers.
