Queens Local News: Law Firm Helps to Feed the Needy this Thanksgiving with Food Drive

Oresky & Associates, Together We Can and Elmhurst Community Partnership Help to Feed Scores of Families in Need This Holiday Season

QUEENS LOCAL NEWS - Volunteers turned an Elmhurst school into a giant supermarket for those in need this holiday season as they handed out free turkeys and bags of fresh produce and other food items. 


On November 22, nearly 100 people, mostly families with young children, came out to PS 019 in Corona. Oresky & Associates co-sponsored the Thanksgiving community event, organized by Together We Can. Community members, students, and their families attended to enjoy a warm meal and take home non-perishable and Thanksgiving food for their holiday dinner. 



Volunteers from the Elmhurst Community Partnership also supported the event, helping serve meals and assist families throughout the day. It was a meaningful gathering centered on community, support, and gratitude.  





This was the first time Oresky & Associates took part in a turkey drive but not the first time they helped those in need. During Covid, members of the firm worked with Together We Can to collect and deliver food for needy families during the Pandemic.

The NYPD released new surveillance video of female suspects who were seen window shopping along the commercial strip moments before the stabbing.
