One man was killed and another injured in a shooting outside a Corona deli in Queens Thursday night. Police are investigating and no arrests have been made

The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. Thursday evening in front of a deli located at 57-18 108th Street in Corona, Queens, authorities said. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds outside the store.
According to the NYPD, a 27-year-old man was shot in the chest and rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, the man later died from his injuries, police confirmed.
A second victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot in the leg during the same incident. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, where he is currently listed in stable condition and expected to recover.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and police have not released any suspect descriptions. Detectives are continuing to investigate what led up to the gunfire outside the Queens deli and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
The shooting adds to growing concerns about gun violence in Queens neighborhoods, particularly in busy commercial areas where residents and families frequent local businesses. Community members in Corona say they are worried about safety and hope police can quickly identify those responsible.
