Police announced the arrest of 38-year-old Pablo Melendez of Astoria. He was charged with murder, manslaughter and second degree assault in the death of 40-year-old Brian Brown. The stabbing took place in the South Bronx commercial district known as the HUB.

At around 11:15 pm on Saturday, police discovered Brown bleeding behind the Forman Mills store at East 156 Street and Brook Avenue. Cops say the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his back, left arm and right thigh. 

Brown was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

No word yet on a motive for the stabbing.
