An elderly woman suffered a broken elbow when a mugger threw her to the ground to grab her purse, the NYPD says. Cops released surveillance video of the suspect in the Queens attack who was spotted inside a Bronx bodega.

At around 5:15 pm on January 3, an 83-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk in front of 112-01 Queens Boulevard. A dark SUV pulled up, a man jumped out and threw the woman to the ground. He grabbed her purse and fled in the SUV.

Cops say the mugger made off with $50, bank cards and an iPhone.

The elderly victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she was treated for a broken elbow.

Investigators from the NYPD said they have identified the suspect. They released surveillance video taken from inside a Bronx bodega on East 167th Street near the 44th Precinct station house.
