QUEENS - An elderly woman was robbed of her purse by a pair of muggers on a moped in Queens, cops said.
At around 9 pm on May 29, a 70-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of 108 Street and 68 Avenue in Forrest Hills, Queens. Cops said two men on a moped rode up behind the senior. The passenger on the back of a black moped ripped the purse off the woman’s shoulder and drove off.
The victim did not sustain injuries. Investigators did not disclose how much cash or the value of the items of the purse were stolen.
Police released surveillance video of the suspects. One video shows the driver on the moped. The other suspect was recorded leaving a store.
The driver was last seen wearing a neon construction vest.
The other suspect has a medium complexion with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with white stars on the sleeves and writing and a graphic across the chest of the hoodie. He wore dark pants and white sneakers and was also seen on the video wearing a black face mask.
