Elderly Man Struck in Head with Rock in Random Attack

QUEENS - An elderly man is recovering after being struck in the head with a rock by a stranger in a random attack in Queens.


At around 9:45 am on September 4, a 76-year-old was walking near 104-27 37 Drive in New Corona, Queens.



A young man walked up to the senior and struck him in the head with a rock. The attacker then ran away.



EMS transported the victim to Elmhurst General Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.


The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and medium build. He has dark hair and was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt.
