Slipper Wearing Attacker Knocks Man Out Cold Outside Mosque

QUEENS - Cops are looking for a slipper wearing attacker who sucker punched a man who escorted him out of a mosque. The victim was knocked out cold with one punch.





Cops said a man wearing distinctive bright orange slippers entered a mosque at 37-46 Crescent Street at around 6:15 am on September 8. Once inside he began an argument with a 42-year-old man.

QUEENS - A man asked to stop vaping inside a subway car responded by beating and mugging the straphanger who complained, cops said.

The man escorted the suspect out of the mosque and is seen on video trying to calm him down. Then the man in the slippers formed a closed fist and punched the mosque goer in the face. The victim fell to the ground unconscious.



The attacker ran away and was seen heading southbound on Crescent Street.


The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Queens were he was listed in stable condition. He was treated for injuries to the face.





The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who had a goatee and is between the ages of 25 and 35. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, black socks and orange slippers.
