QUEENS - A gunman opened fire across the street from a school in Queens near JFK Airport, cops said. 



At around 9:30 am on October 2, a 24-year-old male got into argument with another man in front of an empty store front at 147-03 Guy R Brewer Blvd. in Springfield Gardens. 


As the dispute got heated, one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot the other in the face. A bullet struck left side of the victim’s jaw. 


The gunman was seen fleeing westbound on 146th Terrace. 


The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for treatment. He was listed in stable condition.


The shooting took place a block away from PS 52. 


Police released surveillance video outside a food truck parked on the street. 



The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who is 6 foot 2 and weighs 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue and purple hoodie, black sweatpants, and red and white sneakers.
