QUEENS - A trio of gunmen apparently needed smokes and candy when they decided to rob a Queens bodega at gunpoint, cops said. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects.
At around 10:30 pm on December 3, three men walked into a grocery store at 218-30 Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. Cops said all three men displayed silver handguns and demanded cash.
According to investigators, as one of the robbers forced the clerk to hand over cash from the register, the other gunmen walked through the store taking items off the shelves.
Cops said the robbers took $1,500 in cash, $160 in tobacco products and $15 in candy.
No injuries were reported.
All three suspects are males with dark complexions and were last seen wearing black hoodies. Two of the men wore black face masks. The last wore a red facemask.
The gunman at the counter wore a black hoodie with the logo for “Death Row Records” on the back in white.
