QUEENS - One man is dead and another is recovering after both men were found shot in the torso on a Queens street during an early morning double shooting, the NYPD said. 


Police are still investigating the double shooting and details are scarce. The victim’s name has not been released pending family notification. 


Here’s what we know so far. At around 5 am today, police responded to multiple 911 calls to the intersection of 199 Street and Hollis Avenue in Hollis,  Queens. Upon arrival cops observed two men with gunshot wounds to their torsos.

MANHATTAN - A thief threatened to cut a smoke shop worker with a knife during a robbery which netted the crook $27 worth of smoke goods, the NYPD said.

One of the victims, age 32, was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other victim, age 31, was taken to North Shore University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 


Police did not discuss a motive for the shooting or state whether they theorized the two men shot each other or whether they were shot by another gunman.
