QUEENS - A 69-year-old man was violently assaulted on an MTA bus in Flushing, cops said. 


At around 3:20 pm on February 8, the 69-year-old man was riding on a northbound Q44 bus in the vicinity of Main Street and Kissena Boulevard. Cops said the bus rider was approached by a man he did not know who began arguing with him. 


Suddenly the man began punching the elderly rider in the face and head over and over again, cops said. 


The suspect hopped off the bus and ran away. 


The victim sustained injuries to his left eye and ear. He was transported to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital where was listed in stable condition. 


The NYPD released surveillance video from inside the bus. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who weighs around 200 pounds. He has a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, a light blue shirt, tan pants, and braids.
