House Guest Beats, Robs Host in Queens

Attacks Host and Steals his E-Bike The NYPD is searching for this man for the assault and robbery of a man who invited the attacker to his home in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice  March 6, 2024  QUEENS - A Queens man was mugged inside his own home by his house guest, cops said.  The NYPD released surveillance photos of a man wanted in the beating and robbing of a man in his own Elmhurst home.  At around 4:30 am on January 17, a 38-year-old man invited an unknown male back to his home in the vicinity of 104 Street and Astoria Boulevard. Once at the residence, cops say, the guest began wailing on his host. The man repeatedly hit his host over and over again.  Then the attacker forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone, $100 cash and his e-bike. Cops said the stolen property is valued at $915.  The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and brown eyes. He is 5 foot 7 and 170 pounds. Elderly Attacker Busted For Bashing Man’s Head with Pipe The NYPD has made an arrest in the metal pipe attack at a Queens subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice March 2, 2024 QUEENS - Cops made an arrest in the vicious beating of a straphanger with a metal pipe at a Queens subway station. Police arrested 66-year-old Ricky Wilson of Brooklyn. He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. At around 1 am on February 17, a 31-year-old man was standing on the platform at Queens Plaza Subway Station. Cops said an unknown male approached the straphanger and started arguing with him. The man walked off. Cops said the man came back with a metal pipe and repeatedly struck the straphanger in the head with the pipe. The attacker fled the scene and out of the station on foot. EMS rushed the victim to Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where he was treated for lacerations about the head. He is listed in stable condition.

Hammer Wielding Thieves Attacked Deli Worker The NYPD is searching for this man and another in connection with a hammer attack on a Queens deli worker. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice February 29, 2024 QUEENS -  A pair of thieves bashed a Queens deli worker with hammers during an attack last month, cops said. At around 9 pm on February 14, two men dressed in black and wearing masks walked into a deli at 48-02 Broadway. Cops said the masked men pulled out hammers and began smashing display cases in the deli. When a 24-year-old deli worker tried to stop the vandals, the men pounced. Cops said the attackers repeatedly wailed on the employee with the hammers. The attackers then ran out of the store and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was rushed by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital. Cops said he suffered lacerations and bruising about the head and body.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects. At around 11:40 am on February 15, a 70-year-old man was standing near the emergency exit gate at the Jackson Heights – Roosevelt Avenue subway station. Cops said without warning another man walked up behind the senior and pushed him to the ground.  The suspect walked out of the station. The victim was treated for cuts and bruises at the scene. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who was seen rolling a suitcase and carrying a grocery bag. At around 1 am on February 17, a 31-year-old man was standing on the platform at Queens Plaza Subway Station. Cops said an unknown male approached the straphanger and started arguing with him. Man, Age 69, Assaulted on Queens Bus The NYPD is seaching for this man in connection with the assault on a 69-year-old male on a Queens bus. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice February 13, 2024  QUEENS - A 69-year-old man was violently assaulted on an MTA bus in Flushing, cops said.  At around 3:20 pm on February 8, the 69-year-old man was riding on a northbound Q44 bus in the vicinity of Main Street and Kissena Boulevard. Cops said the bus rider was approached by a man he did not know who began arguing with him.  Suddenly the man began punching the elderly rider in the face and head over and over again, cops said.  The suspect hopped off the bus and ran away.  The victim sustained injuries to his left eye and ear. He was transported to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital where was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance video from inside the bus.
