QUEENS - Cops are looking for a trio of laughing bandits who were caught on surveillance video running away from the scene of a mugging laughing while allegedly carrying the victim’s stolen clothes.
At around 4:30 am on September 22, a 26-year-old male had got into a conversation with three other males in the vicinity of 37th Avenue and 102nd Street in North Corona.
According to police, the victim and two of the men walked south on 102nd Street together. Then the two men began repeatedly punching the victim throughout the body. The attackers removed the victim’s cellphone, cash, jewelry and clothes including his sneakers.
Surveillance video shows one of the two suspects running back laughing while holding clothes and sneakers. Cops said the trio of robbers then piled into a sedan and drove off eastbound on 37th Avenue.
EMS transported the victim to Elmhurst Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
