QUEENS - A pre-teen boy walking home was mugged in front of a park in broad daylight in Elmhurst, cops said. 




At around 3 pm on October 24, a 12-year-old boy was walking in front of a park in the vicinity of 100th Street and 25th Avenue in East Elmhurst. Cops said a man ran up behind the boy and threw the tween in a chokehold. 


The attacker ripped the child’s cellphone from his hands and than ran off. Cops said he fled on foot toward 27th Avenue. 




The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. He is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a bright red hoodie, grey sweatpants and red sneakers. He also wore a black balaclava that covered his face.
