Subway Slasher Attacks 2 Commuters in Kew Gardens Station

QUEENS LOCAL NEWS - Two subway riders were viciously slashed across the face in a random attack at the Kew Gardens station, cops said. 


The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspect who is alleged to have attacked two people during a slashing spree inside the Queens subway station. The attacks took place on the southbound E Train platform at the Union Turnpike–Kew Gardens station



At around 3:15 pm on November 19, a 42-year-old was waiting on the platform when he was approached from behind by a man dressed all in black. The man took out a sharp object and slashed the commuter across the forehead. 


Cops said a few minutes later, the suspect attacked a second victim. A 50-year-old man waiting on another platform was approached from behind. The attacker slashed him across the face and then ran off. 


EMS responded quickly, taking the 42-year-old victim to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital and the 50-year-old victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst. Both victims are listed in stable condition. 


Investigators describe the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
