NYPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Forest Hills–71 Avenue E Train Sexual Abuse Incident

QUEENS LOCAL NEWS - The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a sexual abuse incident on a northbound E train near the Forest Hills–71 Avenue station. The NYPD Transit Special Victims Squad is currently investigating the case, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.


What Happened on the Northbound E Train?


According to police reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at approximately 6:35 PM. A 21-year-old woman was asleep onboard a northbound E train as it approached the Forest Hills–71 Avenue stop. She woke to feel an unidentified man touching her buttocks.


Before she could react, the man exited the train at the Forest Hills–71 Avenue station and disappeared in an unknown direction. The victim stayed on the train and continued traveling northbound. 


The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect taken from inside the subway car.


The suspect is described as a male with curly hair and a goatee. He is 5 foot 8 and is about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.


Investigation Ongoing


The case is being handled by the Transit Special Victims Squad, which investigates serious crimes within the city’s transit system. Public assistance often plays a crucial role in helping detectives track down individuals involved in transit-related incidents.
