QUEENS LOCAL NEWS - Queens police are searching for an unidentified individual following a stabbing that left a 16-year-old boy injured Tuesday afternoon on a public bus in Jamaica, Queens.


According to police reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., while the teenage victim was riding a southbound MTA Q25 bus near 82-74 Parsons Boulevard. Authorities say the suspect approached the victim while the bus was in motion and stabbed him once in the abdomen.




The attack unfolded quickly and without warning, leaving passengers stunned as the suspect fled moments later.


Suspect Fled on Foot After Stabbing


Police say the unidentified individual exited the bus at the intersection of Parsons Boulevard and 82 Drive before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect has not yet been apprehended.

Investigators are asking anyone who may recognize the description or witnessed the incident to come forward.

Victim Transported to Hospital in Stable Condition


Emergency medical services responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. Police say the teen is currently listed in stable condition and is expected to recover.



Ongoing Investigation Into Queens Bus Stabbing


The motive for the stabbing remains unclear, and police have not indicated whether the victim and suspect knew each other. The incident is being investigated as an assault with a weapon aboard public transportation, raising concerns among local commuters and residents.
