Authorities say the two teens were riding the bus when they were approached by a group of unidentified individuals. During the encounter, one person displayed a knife, while another suspect took the victims’ belongings, including an Apple iPhone and a pair of Apple AirPods—a detail that aligns with the growing trend of electronics-related thefts on public transportation.
After taking the items, the individuals fled the scene on foot, heading westbound along Beach Channel Drive. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the situation has left many local riders concerned about safety on the bus line.
