The suspect didn’t bother with subtlety—he grabbed boxes of phones off the shelves and walked right out of the store. When a 22-year-old employee attempted to stop him, the thief responded with force, pushing the worker aside before making his escape.

This bold robbery was captured on surveillance footage, giving police a clear image of the thief’s face. The NYPD is now actively searching for the suspect, and they need your help to crack this case.

The Bold Wireless Store Robbery in Queens

Around 6:15 pm on December 11, the suspect walked into the Cricket Wireless store on Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven. He didn’t utter a word but simply walked up to the shelves, grabbed multiple boxes full of high-end cell phones, and began walking toward the exit. The phones, which were later valued at $5,000, were likely destined for resale on the black market or illegal platforms.

As the suspect made his way to the door, an employee, only 22 years old, tried to stop him from leaving with the merchandise. Unfortunately, the worker’s attempt to stop the thief didn’t go as planned. The suspect pushed the female employee, and the two struggled briefly. In the end, the thief managed to escape, fleeing with the stolen phones in hand. The worker wasn’t injured, but this robbery is sure to have left the store shaken.

Surveillance Video Provides Key Clues

Thanks to nearby surveillance cameras, police were able to capture clear footage of the suspect during the robbery. The video, which shows the thief carrying at least four boxes full of cell phones, offers a detailed image of his face, helping investigators get closer to identifying him.

Thief’s Appearance:

  • Gender: Male
  • Complexion: Dark
  • Build: Medium
  • Height: 5 feet 10 inches
  • Eyes: Brown

He was wearing all dark-colored clothing at the time of the robbery, including a surgical mask, which made it harder for store employees to identify him immediately.
