Pair Wanted for Beating, Shooting Straphanger with Gel Gun in Queens


Police are searching for these men in connection with a beating and attempted shooting of a gel gun on the F Train.

QUEENS - Police released new photos of a pair of suspects who are wanted for beating, shooting a straphanger with a gel gun on a Queens subway platform. 


At around 4:30 pm on November 6, a 34-year-old man was riding a southbound Number 7 train when he was approached by two men. Cops say the pair first harassed the straphanger and then things got violent. 


The men began punching the victim and even firing a shot at him from a gel gun. The attackers tried to rip the victim’s gold chain off his neck. Before they broke the chain, the victim broke free and ran to another subway car towards the front of the train. 



The straphanger got off the train at the 74th Street and Roosevelt Avenue Station. But his attackers followed. They caught up with their victim and smacked him across the face. They then removed his eyeglasses and boarded a Queens bound F train. 


The victim refused medical treatment at the scene. 


The attackers are described as being in their late teens and early 20s. Both men were wearing black jackets with black hoodies underneath. One wore a black face mask. The younger looking suspect has curly hair.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Curtis Moe of Brooklyn. An investigation revealed that Moe was shot in the chest in front of 178-16 Leslie Road.

Scooter Muggers Strike in Queens

Police are searching for two men in connection with the mugging of scooters in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice May 18, 2023 QUEENS - Cops are looking for a pair of muggers who have assaulted riders and stole their scooters in Queens.  At around 8 pm on April 25, a 40-year-old man was riding a motorized scooter. Two men ran up alongside him and shoved him off the scooter. As the man lay in the street, the attackers hopped on the scooter and headed westbound on Roosevelt Avenue.  Two hours later the pair struck again. At around 10 pm, a 28-year-old man was riding his motorized scooter in the vicinity of 3510 College Point Boulevard.  The muggers rode up alongside him on another scooter. The man on the back of the scooter shoved the victim off his scooter. Walk-By Shooting in Queens

Gunman Sought by Cops The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a shooting in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March 18, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are looking for a man who opened fire on a Queens street. At around 5:45 pm on March 12, a 26-year-old male was standing in front of 76-07 160th Street. Cops said a man in a black coat and a black face covering ran up and pulled out a gun. The gunman fired multiple rounds at the victim but missed. The gunman then ran away on in an unknown direction. However, cops recovered surveillance video of the suspect from a nearby house. The suspect is described as an 18-year-old male with a medium complexion and thin build. He was last seen wearing all black clothing, black face covering, multi-color sneakers and black book bag.
