QUEENS - A pair of robbers, who claimed they had a gun, robbed a Queens chicken joint, the NYPD said.
At around 11:30 am on January 7, two men walked into a chicken joint on Queens Boulevard. Cops said the duo walked up to the 36-year-old female employee and demanded cash. One of the suspects simulated having a firearm in his hoodie and “pointed” it at the worker. The pair of robbers walked out of the restaurant with black safe box containing $8,000 in cash.
No injuries were reported.
The crooks fled in a yellow 2008 Chevy Camaro.
Both suspects were captured on the store’s surveillance video. The first suspect is described as a male with a medium. He is 5 foot 8 with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded rain jacket, black pants, and red and black gloves.
The second suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, who is six feet tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored jacket.
