QUEENS - A pair of robbers, who claimed they had a gun, robbed a Queens chicken joint, the NYPD said. 


At around 11:30 am on January 7, two men walked into a chicken joint on Queens Boulevard. Cops said the duo walked up to the 36-year-old female employee and demanded cash. One of the suspects simulated having a firearm in his hoodie and “pointed” it at the worker. The pair of robbers walked out of the restaurant with black safe box containing $8,000 in cash. 


No injuries were reported.


The crooks fled in a yellow 2008 Chevy Camaro.  


Both suspects were captured on the store’s surveillance video. The first suspect is described as a male with a medium. He is 5 foot 8 with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded rain jacket, black pants, and red and black gloves. 


The second suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, who is six feet tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored jacket.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Curtis Moe of Brooklyn. An investigation revealed that Moe was shot in the chest in front of 178-16 Leslie Road.

Scooter Muggers Strike in Queens

Police are searching for two men in connection with the mugging of scooters in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice May 18, 2023 QUEENS - Cops are looking for a pair of muggers who have assaulted riders and stole their scooters in Queens.  At around 8 pm on April 25, a 40-year-old man was riding a motorized scooter. Two men ran up alongside him and shoved him off the scooter. As the man lay in the street, the attackers hopped on the scooter and headed westbound on Roosevelt Avenue.  Two hours later the pair struck again. At around 10 pm, a 28-year-old man was riding his motorized scooter in the vicinity of 3510 College Point Boulevard.  The muggers rode up alongside him on another scooter. The man on the back of the scooter shoved the victim off his scooter. At around 5:45 pm on March 12, a 26-year-old male was standing in front of 76-07 160th Street. Cops said a man in a black coat and a black face covering ran up and pulled out a gun. The gunman fired multiple rounds at the victim but missed. The gunman then ran away on in an unknown direction. However, cops recovered surveillance video of the suspect from a nearby house. The suspect is described as an 18-year-old male with a medium complexion and thin build. He was last seen wearing all black clothing, black face covering, multi-color sneakers and black book bag.
