KFC Bandit Twists Worker’s Arm to Get Cash

Crook Strong Arms Worker During Robbery  The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with the robbery of a KFC in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice  February 28, 2024  QUEENS - A KFC loving crook strong armed his way into robbing the cash register at a chicken joint in Woodhaven.  At around 6:30 pm on February 24, the suspect walked into the KFC at 87-19 Jamaica Avenue. Cops said the man approached the 26-year-old female employee at the counter. Without warning he reached over, grabbed and twisted the worker’s arm demanding cash. The cashier handed over $617 that was on top of the register.  Cops said with cash in hand the crook let go and ran out of the store and fled north on 88 Street.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. Mob Steals Thousands Worth of Sunglasses from Mall in Queens The NYPD is searching for members of a flash mob that stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of sunglasses at a Queens Mall. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice February 15, 2024 QUEENS - A flash mob that hit a Queens mall twice made of with nearly $40,000 in sunglasses when they robbed displays of glasses, the NYPD said. Cops said the same crew struck at the same mall within weeks of each other last month. At around 7 pm on January 8, a group of black clad robbers walked into a mall on Roosevelt Avenue. The group went to the Sunglass Hut and removed displays of sunglasses, cops said. The group then ran out of the mall. Cops said the stolen merchandise is valued at $16,780. A second suspect is being sought. -File Photo By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice February 8, 2024 QUEENS - Cops arrested a Queens teenager in connection with the vicious mugging on a subway platform.  The NYPD announced the arrest of a 15-year-old male. He was charged with two counts of robbery. Police would not release the suspect’s name because he is a minor.  At around 3:40 pm on January 8, a 17-year-old male was standing on the platform for the L Train when he was approached by two males. Cops said without warning the two males began wailing on the victim.  The attackers repeatedly punched the victim while trying to remove his cellphone. Chicken Joint Robbers Make Off with 8 Grand

Robbers Stickup Chicken Joint The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with the robbery of a chicken joint on Queens Boulevard. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 22, 2024 QUEENS - A pair of robbers, who claimed they had a gun, robbed a Queens chicken joint, the NYPD said.  At around 11:30 am on January 7, two men walked into a chicken joint on Queens Boulevard. Cops said the duo walked up to the 36-year-old female employee and demanded cash. One of the suspects simulated having a firearm in his hoodie and “pointed” it at the worker. The pair of robbers walked out of the restaurant with black safe box containing $8,000 in cash.  No injuries were reported. The crooks fled in a yellow 2008 Chevy Camaro.   Both suspects were captured on the store’s surveillance video. The first suspect is described as a male with a medium. Rolex Sellers Sprayed in Face by Muggers

Police are searching for this man in connection with a string of robberies in which thieves spray an unknown substance in the victims' eyes and steal their items. By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice December 14, 2022  QUEENS - Seller beware. A robbery crew is targeting people looking to sell high-end items like Rolex watches and luxury handbags to people they meet online. In each of the cases the muggers spray a substance in the victim’s eyes before taking their bling.  The first case took place around 1 pm on November 19 in Fresh Meadows. Investigators said a 21-year-old man was meeting a seller for his Rolex watch in front of 73-46 194 Street. Before the sale could be carried out the would-be buyers sprayed an unknown substance in the victim’s face.
