Authorities say the incident occurred at approximately 1:09 a.m. in the vicinity of 57-04 Woodside Avenue, a busy residential and commercial area in Queens. The victim told police he was approached by four men who demanded money. When he refused, a verbal dispute broke out.
During the confrontation, one of the suspects allegedly struck the victim in the head with an unknown sharp object, causing a laceration. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in stable condition, police confirmed.
Despite the demand for money, no property was taken, and the suspects fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying the four individuals involved. All are described as males with medium complexions, last seen wearing the following clothing:

- Suspect #4: Multicolored jacket, black pants, ski mask
