QUEENS - Cops are looking for a smiling stabbing suspect who is part of a duo accused of slashing and robbing a man in Elmhurst.
At around 3:45 am on December 16, a 25-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of 93rd Street and Elmhurst Avenue, when two men walked up behind him. One of the men pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the shoulder.
As the victim staggered from the pain both men pounced. They forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone and wallet which contained cash and a debit card, cops said.
The victim was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video in which one of the suspects was seen smiling. He is described as a male with a medium complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
The second suspect is described as a male with medium complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, black pants and a backpack.
