The NYPD released new surveillance video of female suspects who were seen window shopping along the commercial strip moments before the stabbing. At around 10 pm on March 20, an 18-year-old female was walking in front of the Jamaica Market at 90-40 160 Street when she was approached by a group of women. Tourist Neck Slashed at Subway Station   The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a slashing of a Brazilian tourist at a Queens subway station. -Photo by NYPD 2nd Brazilian Tourist Wounded in NYC in 2 Weeks By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice  February 16, 2024  QUEENS - A Brazilian tourist was slashed across the neck at a Queens subway station during what is being called an unprovoked attack, the NYPD said.  At around 10:30 am on February 15, a 29-year-old tourist from Brazil was standing on the mezzanine level of the Queens Plaza subway station on the "E, M, R" line. Cops said without warning a man dressed in a black balaclava and gray hoodie walked up behind him and slashed the left side of the tourist’s neck with a knife.  The knife-totting suspect ran out of the station but not before his image was captured on subway surveillance cameras.  The victim was rushed by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital. Smiling Stabber Robs Man’s Phone

Elmhurst Man Stabbed, Robbed  The NYPD is searching for these two men in connection with the stabbing and robbing of a man in Elmhurst. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice January 23, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are looking for a smiling stabbing suspect who is part of a duo accused of slashing and robbing a man in Elmhurst.  At around 3:45 am on December 16, a 25-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of 93rd Street and Elmhurst Avenue, when two men walked up behind him. One of the men pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the shoulder.  As the victim staggered from the pain both men pounced. They forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone and wallet which contained cash and a debit card, cops said.  The victim was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance  video in which one of the suspects was seen smiling. Christening Stabber Gets 23 Years for Murder

File photo QUEENS - The man who fatally stabbed a guest during an arguement outside a Queens christening will spend the next 23 years behind bars. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the sentencing of Antonio Martinez for stabbing to death a fellow guest at a 2019 celebration of a baby’s christening in Corona. Martinez argued with the victim before repeatedly stabbing him in the chest.  “A celebration of life resulted in a violent death because of the defendant’s decision to fatally stab a party guest over an argument,” Katz said. “He will now spend a lengthy term in prison as punishment for his actions.”  Martinez, 50, of 98th Street in Corona, Queens, was sentenced yesterday to 23 years to life in prison.  On November 16, Martinez was convicted of murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree following a jury trial.  According to the charges, shortly before 12:30 a.m. on September 29, 2019, ...
