Cell Phone Store Stickup Caught on Camera

Subscribe in a reader By Dan Gesslein, October 28, 2020  A cell phone store stickup in Flushing was caught on camera and the NYPD is hoping the public can help them catch the robbers.  At around 6:30 pm on October 12, two men walked into the Metro PCS store at 75-25 Parsone Boulevard and approached the clerk at the counter. Surveillance video captured the scene as one of the men pulled out a gun. The accomplice then went behind the counter and proceeded to stuff 12 cell phones inside a black duffel bag he was carrying.  As his partner loaded up the phones, the gunman opened the register and stuffed the cash in his own pocket. Cops say he attacked the octogenarians for their baseball caps and face mask.  At around 9:38 am on September 3rd, an 88-year-old man was attacked on an MTA bus at the intersection of Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue. Investigators say that the suspect attempted to take the elderly’s man baseball cap. As the man fought back, the cap thief bit the 88-year-old’s right hand and threw him out of the bus and onto the ground.   The victim was treated for fractured ribs at Jamaica Hospital. File Photo Subscribe in a reader A Queens man who allegedly butchered his 78-year-old mother with a meat cleaver was charged with murder.  David Galicia, 48, was charged with second degree murder in relation to the April 24th attack. He faces up to 25 years-to-life in prison if convicted.   Prosecutors said when police arrived to the entrance of the building Galicia shared with his mother on 41st Avenue, they discovered blood. The officers followed the bloody trail that led from the lobby to Galicia’s apartment. Inside they found 78-year-old Carmelita Cabansag dead on the kitchen floor with puncture wounds to the head. Cops recovered a blood-covered meat cleaver near the body.  “The victim in this case should have been enjoying her golden years. Bump Gunman Charged with Shooting SUNY Football Player Malachi Capers

Caught on Video  Subscribe in a reader A Queens man has been charged with shooting a college football player who bumped into him inside a local deli. The deadly shooting was caught on camera. According to the charges, on July 27th, at around 4:30 p.m., the 20-year-old victim, Malachi Capers accidentally bumped into the defendant while inside a deli on the corner of Springfield Boulevard and 136th Avenue. The defendant then allegedly punched Capers. The victim, who was a defensive end at SUNY Buffalo, chased the defendant out of the store and tackled him on the sidewalk.  Malachi Capers  Video surveillance captured the fight as both men wrestled on the ground. As they regained their footing, defendant Thurston allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired a single shot into Capers’ abdomen, prosecutors said. Lorena Delaguna, 53, has been charged with attempted assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment for allegedly throwing a bottle at a passing jogger and using a racial epithet on August 17, 2020 in Woodside, Queens.  At around noon on August 17, a 37-year-old woman was jogging in Woodside.
