Cops said a Queens woman was assaulted by a man who wanted her to “exchange” $30K through online bank accounts. But then reneged on the deal and assaulted her. The details of the assault are sketchy but the NYPD has info and video of the suspect. At around noon on April 23, a 23-year-old woman had arranged to meet a man in front of Flushing bank at 37-01 138 Street. The victim told investigators that she went there to “exchange currency.” The plan was for the man to hand over $30,000 in cash to the woman and she was to “transfer money online to bank accounts.” Cops said as the two discussed the plan, the man with the cash became angry with her.
