Low-Profile Robbers Drove Luxury BMW The NYPD is searching for this BMW in connection with the burglary of a smoke shop in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 25, 2024 QUEENS - A pair of smoke shop thieves may have thought they would attract little attention with their clothing but then drove a pretty conspicuous getaway car - an $80,000 plus luxury SUV, the NYPD said.  At around 4:40 am on January 14, two men broke into a smoke shop on Jamaica Avenue. Cops said the crooks took $8,000 worth of merchandise.   The suspects images were captured on a street surveillance camera outside the store. The alleged crooks wore black hoodies, sweatpants and balaclavas which would not attract attention on a cold January morning.  However, the pair were caught on camera driving away in an $80,000 plus silver BMW X 7 SUV, which was parked under a street light right in front of the surveillance camera.
