Scream for Help Saves Her The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an attempted rape at a Queens subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice February 29, 2024 QUEENS - A Queens woman was attacked and almost raped inside a subway station, cops said.  At around midnight on February 24, a 20-year-old woman exited a Queens-bound F Train at the 169th Street station when a man followed her. Cops said when the woman reached the mezzanine the man pounced, punching her multiple times. He covered her face while continuing to punch her and then pushed her to the ground, investigators said.  As the attacker tried to remove the woman’s clothing while she was on the ground, the victim cried out for help. The scream alerted a nearby security guard who intervened, cops said. Seeing the guard charging toward him, the attacker fled. EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injuries.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. H

 

Hammer Wielding Thieves Attacked Deli Worker The NYPD is searching for this man and another in connection with a hammer attack on a Queens deli worker. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice February 29, 2024 QUEENS -  A pair of thieves bashed a Queens deli worker with hammers during an attack last month, cops said. At around 9 pm on February 14, two men dressed in black and wearing masks walked into a deli at 48-02 Broadway. Cops said the masked men pulled out hammers and began smashing display cases in the deli. When a 24-year-old deli worker tried to stop the vandals, the men pounced. Cops said the attackers repeatedly wailed on the employee with the hammers. The attackers then ran out of the store and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was rushed by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital. Cops said he suffered lacerations and bruising about the head and body.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects. Crook Strong Arms Worker During Robbery  The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with the robbery of a KFC in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice  February 28, 2024  QUEENS - A KFC loving crook strong armed his way into robbing the cash register at a chicken joint in Woodhaven.  At around 6:30 pm on February 24, the suspect walked into the KFC at 87-19 Jamaica Avenue. Cops said the man approached the 26-year-old female employee at the counter. Without warning he reached over, grabbed and twisted the worker’s arm demanding cash. The cashier handed over $617 that was on top of the register.  Cops said with cash in hand the crook let go and ran out of the store and fled north on 88 Street.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. He is described as a male with a dark complexion and slim build. He is 6 foot 2. Female Cut Up During Argument  The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with the slashing of a woman in Flushing. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice February 27, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are looking for the man who cut up a woman’s hand and torso in Flushing.  At around 11:30 pm on February 24, a 32-year-old woman was outside a pharmacy at 37-64 90 Street in Flushing. Cops said the woman got into an argument with a man on the street.   According to the NYPD, the man pulled out a sharp object and slashed the woman on the hand and her torso. He then ran away in an unknown direction.  EMS rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where she was treated and was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance of the suspect who is described as a male with a medium complexion and a medium build. Search for Woman Who Slashed Queens Cabbie  The NYPD is searching for a woman in connection with the slashing of a cabbie in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice February 26, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are looking for the female passenger who slashed a Queens cabbie stopped outside a church.  At around 2 am on February 11, a cabbie drove his car in Elmhurst to a stop outside a church at 89-00 23 Avenue. Cops said when the cabbie asked for payment, his female passenger pulled out a knife and slashed the driver in the neck, causing severe bleeding.   The slasher then jumped out of the cab and ran eastbound on 23 Avenue.   EMS rushed the cabbie to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was treated and is listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who is described as a female with a light complexion with long dark hair or possibly a wig. At around 8:40 pm on February 9, a 15-year-old girl was standing on the northbound platform of the Halsey Street station. Cops said a man walked up to the teen and knocked her for the ground. Investigators said the attacker picked the girl up and forcibly kissed her. At the same time he groped the teen over her clothing. The new photos show the suspect without a mask covering his face. Cops say the man on the surveillance video is the one who slashed a Brazilian tourist across the neck with a knife. The new video shows the suspect without a face mask so he could smoke a cigarette. At around 10:30 am on February 15, a 29-year-old tourist from Brazil was standing on the mezzanine level of the Queens Plaza subway station on the "E, M, R" line.
