Fugitive Son Arrested in Florida Subscribe in a reader A fugitive on the run in Florida has been returned to New York to face murder charges. The suspect and his mother have been charged in the murder of a Queens man over $350 in car repiars.  Raymond Jackson, 22, has been extradicted to New York and faces murder charges. Jackson has been on the run since September in connection with the shooting death of a Queens man.  Jackson’s mother had been charged for her alledged part in the murder after she was arrested during a traffic stop. Prosecutors believe they recovered the murder weapon from inside the car she was driving. District Attorney Melinda Katz said, “This mother and son duo allegedly teamed up to kill a man. The officers is being praised by the Police Commissioner for his heroics and the gunman has been charged with murder.   Surveillance video captured the moment Off-Duty Police Officer Jason Maharaj tackled a gunman inside a Queens deli. At around 6:15 pm on October 26, Steven Cohen, 63, got into an arguement with an employee inside Cross Bay Express Deli, at 137-02 Cross Bay Boulevard. Cohen, who is said to have been living inside a car parked in front of the deli, had been thrown out of the store for his behavior.  However, he returned a short time later with a Colt revolver and opened fire.
