Backdoor Burglar Hits 2 Houses in Queens The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a series of burglaries in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March15, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are looking for a house burglar who broke into two homes in Flushing in a week and made off with more than $10,000 in jewelry, the NYPD said.  At around 7 pm on February 26, a suspect broke into the rear of a house in the vicinity of 138 Street and 62 Avenue. Cops said the suspect broke a rear window to gain access to the house. He then removed $2,000 worth of jewelry.  Cops released surveillance video of the masked suspect apparently walking in the backyard of the house. Investigators said the same man struck again around 6 pm on February 29. The thief walked into the backyard of a house in the vicinity of 29 Avenue and 158 Street. Cops said the suspect broke a back window to gain access to the house. Then he removed $8,700 worth of jewelry.  Cops said the burglar fled in a dark colored

Female Riders Attacked on Same Weekend Near Different Ball Parks The NYPD is searching for these men in connection with a mugging near Citi Field. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March 14, 2024 QUEENS - It was a bad weekend for NY baseball fans and the season has not even started. Subway riders were attacked at subway stations for Citi Field and Yankee Stadium - a Queens woman was robbed and a Bronx rider was viciously beaten, cops said.  At around 9 pm on March 8, a 38-year-old woman was on the platform at the Willets Point-Shea Stadium subway station. As she waited for the southbound 7 Train, two men approached.  Cops said the attackers forcibly removed the woman’s cellphone from her hands knocking her to the ground. Masked Gunman Caught on Camera The NYPD released surveillance video of a gunman who robbed two bodegas in Far Rockaway Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March 13, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are looking for a masked gunman who robbed two bodegas at gunpoint on Rockaway Beach. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect taken during one of the robberies. In the video, the suspect is dressed all in black, including black gloves and ski mask, and is seen pointing a gun at the clerk behind the counter.  The first robbery took place at around 1 am on February 7. The masked robber walked into 97-06 Rockaway Beach Boulevard and pointed a black handgun at the 55-year-old employee standing behind the counter.  The clerk handed over $400 cash and the gunman fled.

Attacker Punches Woman in Face at Queens Subway Station The NYPD is searching for this woman in connection with an assault and attempted robbery at a Queens subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March 12, 2024  QUEENS - A female mugger attacked a straphanger while trying to steal her purse at a Queens subway station, cops said.  At around 1:30 am on February 23, a 25-year-old woman exited a northbound E Train at the Steinway Street Station in Astoria. A woman walked up to the straphanger and began punching her in the face over and over again, cops said.  After stunning the victim with the punches, the attacker grabbed onto the woman’s purse and tried to yank it away from her, cops said.  The victim hung on and the attacker hopped on a northbound E Train emptyhanded.   The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who is described as a woman with a dark complexion and short hair. Straphanger Beats Passenger, Hops on Train for Getaway The NYPD is searching for this man for an assault on a Queens subway platform. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March 12, 2024 QUEENS - A subway rider was beaten about the head with a cellphone by a fellow straphanger during an arguement on the F Train, cops said.  At around 8 am on March 11, a 19-year-old man was standing on the northbound platform of the F Train at a Queens train station. Cops said the male got into a dispute with another young man on the platform which soon turned violent.  Suddenly, the suspect took the cellphone in his hand and started to use it to smash the victim in the face and head, cops said. The attacker repeatedly punched the victim with the cellphone and then hopped on a northbound F Train that pulled into the station.

The NYPD has linked the two suspects to two robberies in Queens. The first robbery took place at around 4 am on March 1. A 34-year-old woman was walking on 41-14 69 street in Woodside. Cops said a man ran up behind her and put a hard object against her lower back. Then a second man ran up to her displaying a knife. He removed the victim’s handbag and then both suspects ran off. Less than a half hour later cops said the same suspects robbed a second woman. A 58-year-old woman was walking in front of 42-20 Hampton Street. By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice March 7, 2024 QUEENS - Cops are hoping witnesses recognize an SUV used in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in the head in Queens. Three suspects are wanted in the fatal shooting, the NYPD said.  Cops are looking for a black Nissan Pathfinder that was caught on surveillance video during the shooting. The NYPD released the surveillance video which shows two of the suspects dressed all in black come out of the SUV and open fire.  At around 2 am on February 5, cops said the Pathfinder pulled up near a 19-year-old man who was in front of 67-20 Parsons Boulevard.
