Christmas Robbery Crew Strikes 8 Times in Queens

Queens Robbers Use Guns, Knives, Fists The NYPD is searching for two men in connection with at least eight violent robberies in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice February 2, 2024 QUEENS - A Queens robbery crew used guns, knives and fists to strike multiple times throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the NYPD said.   Police released new surveillance video of two suspects wanted in connection with a series of robberies including three on Christmas Eve and two on Christmas Day.  The first robbery happened at around 10:45 pm on December 24. A 46-year-old male was in the vicinity of 40-27 97 Street. A man ran up to him and pushed him to the ground. He then forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone before running off.  Less than an hour later the same man and accomplice struck. On 41-04 Forley Street, the two robbers approached a 58-year-old man and pulled a gun on him. They removed the victim’s wallet and ran off.  Hours later the same crew struck at 37-76

Gunman Menaces Straphangers on Queens Subway Platform  The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a menacing with a gun inside a Queens subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 31, 2024 QUEENS - A man with a gun terrorized straphangers inside a Queens train station when he posed as if he was going to shoot riders during rush hour, the NYPD said.  At around 5 pm on January 23, a man covered with a face mask and hoodie, exited an E train at the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue Station. Cops said the man then pulled out a handgun and “stood in shooting stance on the train platform causing public alarm.”  No shots were fired and the gunman ran off in an unknown direction.  The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras coming out of the subway car. Home Invaders Bound Man, Steal Cash The NYPD is searching for three men in connection with a home invasion near a Yeshiva in Queens. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 29, 2024 QUEENS - Home invaders bound and robbed a man in his own home across the street from a Yeshiva, the NYPD said.  At around 11:30 pm on January 24, a 36-year-old man was about to enter his home in the vicinity of  78 Avenue and Parsons Boulevard. Three men ran up behind him and displayed handguns. They pushed the victim inside and taped up his hands, cops said. The crew then removed the man’s wallet before leaving the home and hopping into a gray four-door sedan.  Cops said the victim’s wallet contained credits cards and $300 in cash.  The car was last seen fleeing westbound on 78 Avenue.  The NYPD released surveillance video. Pickup Driving Gunman Robs Liquor Store

Liquor Store Robbed at Gunpoint The NYPD is searching for this man in conection with an armed robbery of a liquor store. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Queens Voice January 25, 2024 QUEENS - A pick up driving gunman robbed a liquor store in South Ozone Park, cops said. At around 3 pm on January 18, a man walked into a liquor store on Rockaway Boulevard. Cops said the man pulled out a handgun and demanded cash.  Workers handed over $1,500 in cash and the gunman ran out. Cops said the suspect jumped into a Ford pickup and drove off eastbound on Sutter Avenue. Man Brutally Beat, Stabbed Elderly Dad, Prosecutors Say

The defendant was also charged with trashing the interogation room when investigators tried to question him. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced that Jaimie Walker, 30, has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his 72-year-old father. The victim was found Thursday morning in the bathroom of his Queens Village home with multiple stab wounds to his neck. The defendant is additionally charged with criminal mischief for wrecking the interview room inside a police precinct. Katz said, “The defendant in this case is accused of committing patricide. He allegedly beat his father before stabbing him to death. This was a brutal, violent killing.” Walker, of Queens Village, was arraigned be

One shocking attack was caught on video.  Police released surveillance video of a brutal attack taken inside a Queens hotel in which a worker was slashed repeatedly after handing the man a bottle of water. Police are looking for this man in connection with a stabbing in the Bronx on Christmas morning. At around 6:15 am on January 10, a 33-year-old worker at the La Quinta Inn on Queens Boulevard confronted a man who was loitering in the hotel’s lobby. The loiterer asked for a bottle of water. When the clerk came out from behind the desk to hand him the water, the man pounced.  The lobby video shows the man pulling out a large knife and using it to stab and slash the clerk. Subscribe in a reader By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 5, 2021  An elderly woman suffered a broken elbow when a mugger threw her to the ground to grab her purse, the NYPD says. Cops released surveillance video of the suspect in the Queens attack who was spotted inside a Bronx bodega.  At around 5:15 pm on January 3, an 83-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk in front of 112-01 Queens Boulevard. A dark SUV pulled up, a man jumped out and threw the woman to the ground. He grabbed her purse and fled in the SUV.  Cops say the mugger made off with $50, bank cards and an iPhone.  The elderly victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she was treated for a broken elbow.  Investigators from the NYPD said they have identified the suspect.
